GENERAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Your new Hunter 448660 thermostat is easy to program and use. The front
of the thermostat is a touch screen that responds to the pressure of a
finger.
You can program the thermostat to automatically readjust the temperature
and airflow to settings that you choose or you can use the pre-programmed
default settings. You can also operate the thermostat manually.
PROGRAM OPERATION
CREATING CUSTOM PROGRAMS
You can program the thermostat to automatically adjust the temperature
and airflow up to four times per day.
The 44860 touch screen programmable thermostat has an autorecovery function
and will automatically calculate the time needed to achieve the temperature
you set. Therefore, it will be at the temperature you select at the time
you select.
1. Touch a blank area of the screen to begin programming. SELECT FUNCTION
appears at the top of the display.
2. Touch the PRG icon. PRESS PRG TO
PROGRAM appears at the top of the display along with the days of the week.
NOTE: Either 2 or 4 PERIOD icons will display depending upon how many
were selected in USER SETTINGS.
3. Touch the PRG icon again. SELECT
ICON TO PROGRAM appears at the top of the display.
4. Touch the day(s) to be programmed. A check mark is placed next to
each day selected.
5. Touch one of PERIOD icons for program settings. The selected PERIOD
icon flashes until another period is selected or PRG
or ENTER is touched.
6. Touch the fire or snowflake icon to select mode. (heat or cool)
7. Touch the time display to set the program start time.
8. Touch the (+) or (-)
sign to adjust hours and minutes.
9. Touch the temperature display to set the temperature.
10. Touch the (+) or (-)
sign to adjust numerals.
NOTE: Touch energystar icon to set the selected period to Energy Star
settings.
11. Touch fan icon repeatedly to select fan mode (ON, AUTO, or REFRESH).
12. Touch PRG to save the settings
for the selected days/period and to select new days/period for programming.
13. Repeat instructions 1-12 to select new days and time periods to
be programmed or press ENTER to save
programs and return to the main display.
CHANGE BATTERIES
The CHANGE BATTERIES warning on your hunter programmable 44860 thermostat
indicates two stages of battery power shortage. When the batteries are
weak, the CHANGE BATTERIES warning flashes until three new AA alkaline
batteries are installed. If the batteries become too weak for normal operation,
the thermostat enters the second battery power shortage mode.
When no battery power is left, the BATTERIES USED UP warning flashes on
the display and the system turns off. The system remains off until new
batteries are installed. The thermostat resumes normal operation after
new batteries are installed.
HUNTER LIMITED
WARRANTY
The Hunter Fan Company warrants your Hunter thermostat to be free
from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from
the date of sale to the original user or consumer purchaser.
If your Hunter thermostat malfunctions or fails within the warranty
period because of a defect in material or workmanship, Hunter will replace
it.
This warranty is voided if your Hunter thermostat 44860 is not purchased
and installed in the U.S.A. This warranty excludes and does not cover
defects, malfunctions, or failures of your Hunter thermostat which were
caused by repairs by persons not authorized by Hunter, mishandling, improper
installation, modifications or damage to the Hunter thermostat while in
your possession, or unreasonable use, including failure to provide reasonable
and necessary maintenance.
